Deutsche Samstagsschule at the Colorado International School

Colorado International School offers German language classes for children ages 3 -18 and adults who have a desire to learn and master the German language.  Prior German language skill is not required though a significant number of our students hear or speak German at home.  Space is limited to keep class sizes small.  We believe a smaller class size provides a positive learning environment and students learn quicker.  All classes are taught by native German speaking teachers.

The objective of the Saturday school is design to prepare students to earn the Deutsches Sprachdiplom.  The Kultusministerkonferenz establishes the criteria and standards that we need to follow.  The Sprachdiplom will provide the required certification which allows students to study in Germany.

We offer a variety of classes in our Samstagsschule (Saturday School). 

Preschool:         Ages 3-4 years
Kindergarten:     Ages 5-6 years
Elementary 1:    Grades 1-3
Elementary 2:    Grades 4-6
Middle School:   Grades 7-8
High School:      Grades 9-12
Adults

Please try to have your child here by 9:55 AM with a snack and drink.  Classes begin promptly at 10:00 AM.  Please arrive in time to pick your child up at 1:00 PM.

The school may divide classes based on class size and language fluency as required.  We strive to place students based on their German language skills, academic level and age.

German enrichment programs at Colorado International School

We also offer a German enrichment program for students who are interested in learning and mastering German but do not want to earn the Sprachdiplom or can not make the commitment required for the Samstagsschule.
