Hope Forgey, English Program Lead Teacher, IB PYP Coordinator, Admissions Coordinator

Hope Forgey is a Massachusetts and Colorado certified elementary teacher. She holds a B.A. in Psychology and a B.S. in Elementary Education. She recently obtained her Preschool Director qualifications in Colorado. In college she had teaching experiences in 1st and 5th grades. She taught 2nd grade during her professional semester. After graduating, Hope went straight to her first public school job as a 4th grade teacher on Martha's Vineyard, MA. She found herself frenzied and unsatisfied with the demands placed upon her to "teach the test" and eventually wanted to leave the public arena. While working in this first job, Hope also tutored Brazilian children in English Language Arts. At the close of the school year, she decided to pursue this type of job further. She received her TEFL certification here in Denver.

Hope went on to teach preschool in Taipei from 2004 to 2005. She reports that it was wonderful to be immersed in a new culture and language. Upon her return to Denver, she began teaching English to adults. Now, Hope is delighted to return to teaching elementary school and work with a wonderful international staff. In addition to English Language Arts teaching, she is the school's Preschool Director as well as the Admission Coordinator. She believes that CoIS is a wonderful place for your child to learn. Hope is passionate about the school and is the person to speak to about all admissions questions. Please get in touch with her soon!
